A two time 3rd space alum and dear friend, @joejoenewyork of @apollobagels spoke on opening 6 shops in the city in only 2 years. Joey discussed traveling throughout his 20s to develop his taste. literally and culturally.
@benroter1 & @mr.crepsley of @quartersofchange played 2 songs. Our first with a proper sound system. Mics, amps, all of it. An all time favorite music highlight. They’re releasing a new project shortly.
@danchograms & @josechayet of @untitledinbrackets discussed the power pf building what you love, doing it with the right partner, and committing to the long game.
We closed with @daveedbaptiste, the CFDA’s most recent empowered vision awardee. He gave the same presentation he gave his panel to win the competition. Daveed spoke on coming up as a Haitian immigrant into a renouned photographer and now designer. He’s announcing his first major collaboration soon.
